The Theatermuseum's annual exhibition 2023/24 is dedicated to one of Vienna's most amazing dynasties of artists: the Marischkas.
Thanks to the Sissi-Trilogy, Ernst Marischka (1893–1963) is anchored in Austria's collective memory to this day, and starting with him and his brother Hubert (1882–1959), Vienna’s Theatermuseum presents an exciting exhibition from 18 October 2023 onward, paying tribute to the family’s extensive artistic output for film, theatre, operetta, and revue.
For half a century, the Marischkas had a decisive influence on theater and film production – their family estate and the holdings of the Theatermuseum invite visitors to rediscover the illustrious œuvre of this extraordinary dynasty.
